What's in a Vision?

Throughout my life I have been labeled as a purist, an extremist, a radical, a weirdo, a hippie, a fundamentalist, and a dreamer. These are common labels for people who don’t follow the status quo. They are also words used to label revolutionaries, thought leaders, inventors, and geniuses, who end up providing huge contributions to humanity.

Purism and fundamentalism are subjective. Person A may seem like a purist to person B. In turn, person B may seem like a purist to person C. These are basic judgments, completely subjective.

Some people enjoy dreaming. It may be our childlike predisposition to life, or perhaps we are sufficiently naive to believe a utopic future is possible. Dreaming shouldn’t be frowned upon. Aim for the stars, and you will reach God.

Extremism is also subjective, but there is a range we can sometimes draw a line on. The important part is to define those limits, and understand how and why we all need what we need, when we need it. This has to do with personal integrity, and the subjective perception of our own needs in different environments.

We also must accept our lack of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. We have to cope with our limitations, and love everything in everyone, to the best of our ability. Shout out to Ram Das.

We know less than we think. We think more than we know. This creates many conflicts within ourselves and with each other. Our internal conflicts are subject to our ever-changing needs and desires. These, in term, are subject to our internal and external environments.

When we embark on a journey, such as embracing raw vegan and fruit based diets, we are likely to experience change and confusion. Going from an omnivorous diet to a fruit based diet is such a radical move, that many people simply can’t do it. Some may be able to try it for a few days, just a few have made it a practice for life.

I am sure more people will continue to share positive results from their transition to raw vegan and fruit based diets. There’s also likely to be an equal or grater amount of people having negative experiences with it. Countless critics will condemn books on veganism and fruitarianism, and many will likely change their mind, to Give Fruit a Chance.
