Overpopulation
Many people are concerned with our quickly growing human population. We recently hit the 7 billion mark and we are in an obvious path to hit 8 billion by 2025. Lots of people are concerned about this, because they fear we don’t have enough resources to sustain that many people. There is worry that we’ll soon end up, piled up on top of each other, fighting for resources until the moment of our death.
Luckily, our situation hasn’t turned so extreme yet. However, there are multiple areas around the world that could be at risk. Cities like New Your, Los Angeles, Beijing, São Paulo, Moscow and Mumbai, are clearly overpopulated.
With overpopulation comes poverty and crime as well as hunger, pollution and sickness. Some people accept this, and wave it off as a cultural trait of the city. The fact is that overpopulated areas are extremely unstable, and impossible to manage efficiently.
We also know of cities such as Las Vegas, where there are almost no natural resources, all goods are shipped into the city from around the world.
Las Vegas also happens to be one of the most vulgar places in the world. It is dirty and polluted in lots of different ways. Most fans and stakeholders shove this off as a cultural trait. They call it “Sin City” with a smile on their face. They fail to acknowledging that those sins are affecting the entire world, and causing immeasurable harm.
