Improving the Healthcare System
We know that job stress, and long working hours, have a huge influence on work performance. Diet has a similar effect. Looking at the food served at most hospitals, plus the candy and sodas sold in most pharmacies around the United States, we clearly see the hypocrisy.
Adopting raw vegan and fruit based diets would likely improve the health of our global population. Nurses would be leaner, doctors would make fewer mistakes, and children would be healthier. Mortality rates would go down, and life expectancy would increase.
The only downfall would be on the bottom line of unethical pharmaceutical companies, and the pockets of surgeons who charge thousands of dollars for unnecessary treatments. Luckily, more people are realizing the relationship between health and nutrition, they are taking steps to educate themselves and make proper changes.
Despite expensive prices, lack of education, and overwhelming mistakes, the U.S. healthcare system is still one of the best in the world. Other countries are in much worse conditions.
In fact, the World Health Organization reports that 5.9 million children under the age of five died in 2015, that is about 16,000 every day. (1) http://www.who.int/gho/mortality_burden_disease/en/ The organization adds that an approximate 800,000 people commit suicide every year, one every 40 seconds. (2)
Raw vegan and fruit based diets may not be the only solution. They may not cure every single disease for every single person on earth. We still need surgeons and pharmaceuticals to serve us in ways fruit can’t.
There are many ways to improve the condition of our healthcare system. Including more fruit on our diet is certainly one of them.
