The Book

Fruit Benefits our Skin

Our skin reflects our eating habits. Without proper nutrition it will look dull, unhealthy, and undernourished, regardless of how many products you apply on the surface. Energy drinks, junk food, and processed foods, cause skin problems such as acne and eczema. Fruits remedy skin conditions, and improve the appearance and quality of our skin.

Malic acid in apples promotes firm and youthful skin. Vitamin B7 in avocados promotes cell regeneration and growth. Potassium in bananas moisturizes and hydrates the skin. Lemons lighten and tighten the skin. Papain enzymes in papayas counters free-radical skin damage. Antioxidants in pomegranates and berries reverse free-radical skin damage, and prevent wrinkle formation. Plums help release toxins from body. (1)

Kiwi’s alone have over 10 benefits for human skin. They help with rejuvenation, cell regeneration, skin tonification, skin disease prevention, anti-aging, sun damage prevention, and more. (2) Other fruits beneficial to our skin include strawberries, cantaloupes, oranges, apricots, tomatoes, bell peppers, and grapes.
