What if I Don’t Like Fruit?
Some people claim to dislike all fruit. They refuse to eat it. Some say its the taste, others fear that it will make them gain weight, or give them digestive issues.
These people are not to be blamed or judged upon, chances are they had a bad experience with fruit as they were growing up. They probably lived in places where the fruit quality was poor. This is likely to happen, especially for those living in remote places around the country.
The good news is that we can always find better fruit, and we can find people who support our fruit based lifestyle. Most people don’t have the slightest clue about how much fruit, and variety, is available on this earth. Some people travel the world just to find the best mangos, apples, oranges, durian, and other rare exotic fruits. Bananas alone can be of a thousand different of types, each with their own unique flavor.
When someone says they don’t like fruit, it probably means that they haven’t been exposed to healthy fruit in a healthy environment. There are many children and adults, who claimed to dislike a food, and later found to love it. The author of this book is an excellent example.
Storage and transportation methods are improving. It is likely that more people will keep getting exposed to better quality fruit. The other good news is that the more fruit we eat, the more our taste buds will adapt, becoming more sensitive to the flavors of fruit. This is why most raw foodist love durian, but meat eaters can’t stand to be around it.
By eating fruit we let our bodies remember how good fruit can taste, and how great we can feel when we eat it. We must replace unnatural flavors, with ripe and delicious fruit. It is our way back to nature. The way our taste buds will remember what feels best. Don’t make your body wait. Give Fruit a Chance.
