Living in Oneness
I was lucky to be born into a family of loving and accepting parents. My mom and dad taught me to respect women, homosexuals, and people of color. Society, for the most part, taught me to do the contrary.
This resulted in an upbringing with contradictions between what I knew was right in my heart, and what I was told by outside sources. These influences included social pressures, media, advertising, and the entertainment industry.
In time, I learned to follow my heart and love unconditionally. I studied different religions and walked multiple spiritual paths, learning to love and accept them all. In my journey, I learned that all religions and spiritual practices point to the same truth. They all come from the same Source. I also realized this world is made of opposites that form a whole.
Everything is part of The One, there is no denying that. Everything that was, is, and will be, can be placed in a single basket. Everything that never was, never is, and never will be, can be placed in the same basket. You can call it whatever you want, God, Goddess, Allah, Ra, The Universe, Pure Consciousness, The Quantum Field… All That Is, will always be, All That Is.
Observation and logic points that The One is divided into many. Duality is a clear quality in this world. There is day and night, light and darkness, hot and cold, up and down, yin and yang, Shiva and Shakti, Sun and Moon, male and female, right and wrong, good and bad. The list goes on and on. Duality isn’t an issue, but getting lost in it causes a misleading sense of separation.
